SPS Conference 2013 : Plant signalling in a changing environment Evry - FRANCE July 4-6, 2013 https://colloque.inra.fr/spsconference

As sessile organisms, all plants have the capacity to sense and respond to changing conditions in their environment to appropriately modify their development and physiology. During land colonization, different plant species have used diverse strategies to cope with largely variable environmental conditions.

Although a great amount of knowledge has been accumulated in many areas of plant biology, the molecular mechanisms underlying signaling and adaptation to the environment are still largely unclear. It is the aim of this conference to discuss the latest discoveries on how plants respond to changes in their abiotic and biotic environmental conditions.

The conference will look at different strategies revealed by studying natural variation, highlighting novel insights into the genetic and epigenetic mechanisms, and showcase how this knowledge can be applied to improve crop production to meet the needs of the future.

Registration will be open from October 1st, 2012 (with an early registration fee until February 15th, 2013). The conference will be limited to 300 participants so we advise you to register early.

La plateforme Transcriptome de l’URGV, en partenariat avec la Genopole d’Evry, organise le 16 mai 2013,

"la journée de la transcriptome végétale" à Evry (91).

Cette journée fait suite au précédent évènement organisé l’an dernier par la plateforme et qui avait su rassembler une centaine de participants autour de cette thématique.

Cette nouvelle journée est ouverte à toutes les personnes intéressées par les analyses du transcriptome chez les plantes et les outils développés par la plateforme. Une nouvelle formule cette année est proposée aux participants : la matinée sera articulée autour de quelques présentations couvrant les différents aspects de la plateforme, des projets innovants menés par des utilisateurs en collaboration avec la plateforme mais aussi les derniers développements technologiques du domaine. Nous proposerons l’après midi 4 sessions de table-ronde en parallèle sur des sujets pointus du domaine. Tout cela constituera surtout le point de départ d’échanges et de discussions entre les différents participants, l’objectif étant de pouvoir répondre à leurs interrogations tout en initiant éventuellement des collaborations sur des projets innovants.
